About Cindy Salaski

Cindy Salaski is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ArtMatch4U. She brings her organizational, management and design skills to the team. Much of her career has been spent in marketing and sales.

From 1991 to 2006 Cindy was a luxury home specialist with Realty Executives in Paradise Valley, Arizona. However, after studying with instructor Eric Wiegardt at the Scottsdale Artists’ School in 2006, she decided to take a new path and focus on her first love – fine art.

ArtMatch4U grew out of Cindy’s five-year search for the best art instructors, the best art books, the best art suppliers – in a nutshell – the best of everything related to art which was scattered all over the internet.  She decided that it should all be organized in one place to enable artists and art lovers quick, easy access to everything in the art world.

Along with her duties at ArtMatch4U, Cindy paints in oils, watercolors and pastels. She has studied with Albert Handell, Barry John Raybould, and Phil Starke. Cindy was also in a mentorship with world renowned plein air painter, Kevin Macpherson, from July 2010 to July 2011.

Cindy enjoys writing, too. In 1984, she was named one of the top ten writers in the Scripts Category of the Writer’s Digest Magazine Writing Competition. The judge was J. Michael Straczynski who was most recently nominated for the BAFTA Award for his screenplay for the feature film “Changeling.” In July 1997, Cindy was a winner in Pure Fiction’s Electronic Slush Pile, coming in at third place. The winners were chosen by Martin Fletcher, editorial director at Simon and Schuster.

In the summer of 2012, Cindy interviewed Albert Handell, and wrote the article “Mastering Brushstrokes with Albert Handell” which was featured in Issue 88 (Dec/Jan 2013) of International Artist Magazine.

Cindy is currently working on a book for F+W Media/North Light Books tentatively titled, “Learn Oil Painting Techniques from the Great Masters of Today”. The book is scheduled to be released in July 2014.

  2. Thank you for this great site. I receive the newsletter. Is there also a membership option? I saw the member login but didn’t see any member registration.

I looked at the 10 Masters Today. I was struck by the all male list. Any comments on this?
