Charles Warren Mundy
C. W. Mundy is an American Impressionist Artist who was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. After graduating with a Fine Art Degree from Ball State University in Indiana in 1969, he traveled to California, making his home there through the 1970's, painting, playing music, and working on his Masters of Fine Art at Long Beach State.

In 1978 Mundy returned home to Indiana and worked as a sports illustrator for more than a decade. Then in the early 1990's he took on the challenge of painting "en plein air" and "from life". This painting style led C. W. to a series of European Plein Air Painting trips, beginning with a trip to France in 1995 and continuing up through the present.

Mundy was invited in 2003 to become Master Signature Member in the national organization Oil Painters of America. In 2007, he achieved Master Status in The American Impressionist Society. He is also a Signature Member of The American Society of Marine Artists.

Mundy teaches workshops and lectures throughout the United States, and in 2005-2006 taught in a unique mentorship program, En Plein Air Masters, in France.
C. W. enjoys playing banjo with the bluegrass band The Disco Mountain Boys. He recently recorded his debut album, Road Trip, published by Moon Surf Records.
